1. Please respect ALL members on the board. There will be no harassing, spamming, or fighting of ANY kind. The Admins word is LAW, and failure to follow these rules will result in suspension or permanent banning depending on the severity of the crime. If you are a member and feel harassed by another member, please report it to an Admin and we will deal with it accordingly.
2. You MUST be active on this site. I hate when sites die out because its members start disappearing. So try and post a MINIMUM of 2-3 times a week, unless you have posted in the Absence board. This is ESPECIALLY crucial to those playing Cannon characters, as the site depends on you to advance plots forward. So do NOT apply as a cannon character if you are uncertain that you will be active enough.
3. This site is rated PG-13. This is a rule not only for this site but for ALL proboards-supported forums. You MUST be 13 years or older to join this or ANY Proboards site. If any thread thread starts getting too intense, please utilize a time skip or others, but you are NOT allowed to roleplay sexual activity, gory violence or drug usage. This is not me, these are the rules for Proboards. Look HERE for the official terms of service.
4. Spelling and Grammar: any1 whoo ryts lyke an ill-iterat bafoon will fase sevear konsekuences, understand?
5. The word count for this site is 100 words or more. This is equal to more or less one short paragraph. I consider this rule to be VERY fair for all levels or writing, so PLEASE obey it. This is very lenient, and ANY good writer should be able to come up with 100 words or more in a post. I know we all have our off-days where our posts will be shorter or longer, but 100 words is NOTHING.
6. There is no limit to how many characters you may have on this board, under THESE conditions:
- You MUST be active with all of them.
- Don’t be a Cannon Character Whore. Give others a chance to RP as cannons and don’t take all of the good ones. You are allowed up to FOUR cannon characters, and you can have as many OC’s as you can handle. A list of Taken or Reserved cannon characters can be found here.
- You may NOT have multiple characters per account, unless you have a special circumstance (such as two characters being conjoined twins?) which must be discussed with an Admin beforehand.
7. You MAY NOT kill another persons character unless you ASK or DISCUSS it with them beforehand.
8. As a super-human, your abilities will naturally grow and change with time and age. So, that being said if you plan on altering your characters power from what was on your original application, you MUST ask permission from a staff member to do so. ALSO, your power changes must be fluid and evolving; Your character cannot randomly gain a new power that has nothing to do with his/her/its previous abilities. Iceman cannot SUDDENLY be able to shoot fire from his hands, or Cyclops cannot SUDDENLY be able to fly unsupported. Get my drift?
9. GOD-MODING: You will find this rule on EVERY role-playing site. Unless, ya know, the RP site is about playing Gods *cue the laugh track*. Basically, don’t make your character all powerful and invincible. He/She/It MUST have some weaknesses, both emotional and physical. Unless your character is a robot, which wouldn’t have any emotional weakness, unless you consider not having emotions a weakness…..wha? OH, sorry, I strayed off-topic. So yeah, during battles with other members, you MUST take a few hits. I don’t care if you’re role-playing as Apocalype or Galactus fighting against Mary-Jane Watson, you MU- wait a minute. No, yeah, okay in THAT case you can probably tear MJ to pieces, but you KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
10. NO MARY-SUES. ‘nuff said.
11. You MAY NOT RP until your application has been accepted. Duh? You MAY post in the Out of Character boards and play the games or discuss the topics while you wait.
12. This board runs on what I just learned is called Liquid Time, meaning that you may be in multiple threads at once SO LONG as you keep up with all of them and you know the order of events in which they take place.
13. You must have an avatar and signature in your profile, so that readers will know what your character looks like. Your signatures must NOT stretch out the board hugely, so try and keep it under 500x500 pixels.
14. If you have any questions, please contact a Staff member and we will try to help you out
15. NEW RULE 8/7/10: If you apply as a Cannon, your application MUST be approved by both staff members before you are allowed to begin RP'ing.
